こども文化学科の教育研究上の理念・目的は、小学校教育が抱えるさまざまな問題を学問的に考察し、すぐれた小学校教員を育成することです。現代の児童が抱えるさまざまな心理的、社会的、文化的問題を考察する機会を十分に取り入れ、4年間を通して幅広い知識を涵養し、深い問題意識を有する小学校教員の養成を目的とします。専門的な授業と、現場での教育実習などを実施し、すぐれた小学校教員を養成します。また、子供を取り巻く文化についても幅広く学ぶことができます。
